Installation Warranty

Tyee Mfg. warranties the labour and workmanship of all supply and install orders for a period of 3 years against any defect which could permit unintended water or air leakage to the home.

The following limits apply:

• Weathering and normal wear and tear

• Normal shrinkage of construction materials

• Any damage caused by the homeowner (pressure washing, brushing, etc.)

• Application of harmful cleaning solutions

• Other situations beyond Tyee’s control

The installation methods listed in your order documentation are guidelines only.  They are based on industry best practices and utilize the handbook “Best Practices for Window and Door Replacement in Wood-Frame Buildings”, which is published by the BC Housing Research Centre and the Fenestration Association of BC.  Each renovation and home is different, specifically the type of exterior siding (vinyl, wood, or stucco) which would require different methods of waterproofing with respect to flashing and J-trim.  There may be features of the home that do not meet current building code requirements, and Tyee Mfg. will not bear any responsibility for them.  Installers have the ability to modify all steps as they deem necessary.  All of our installers are certified by the Home Performance Contractor Network.
